Welcome everyone,

On Sunday, November 15, the St. Paul and Stillwater Police Federations are hosting a benefit in honor of a family with ties to both departments. Officer Brienne Heroux of the Stillwater Police Department died September 13 from complications of HELLPS, a rare syndrome that affects pregnant women. Brienne’s husband, Andy, is an officer with the St. Paul Police Department.

Brienne and Andy’s son, Leland Earl Heroux, was born August 30 with part of his bladder outside his body. He has since undergone several surgeries to remedy the situation and continues to require medical attention.

In recognition of these heartbreaking events, the St. Paul and Stillwater Police Federations are hosting a silent auction November 15. The money raised from this event will help pay for Leland’s ongoing medical expenses and help raise awareness for HELLPS, a rare but serious illness in pregnancy that lowers blood platelets and can damage the liver.

Both Brienne and Andy have contributed their time and energy to making our community a safer place. Now it is our turn to show our support for this family and help them in this time of incredible tragedy.
